Norma Eleurnam Jarvis Taylor, 84, of Palm Coast, peacefully entered the sunset of life to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at AdventHealth Hospice Care at Stuart F. Meyer, Palm Coast. Norma was born on Sunday, March 22, 1936 in Georgetown Demerara, Guyana. Norma attended Smiths Congregational School then entered teachers training college. After graduating she taught primary school for 13 years.

A beautiful young Norma was introduced to Vincent Taylor at a church function in 1953. Vincent and Norma wed on Saturday, October 31, 1959 and lived as husband and wife for 60 years. In 1970, Norma emigrated to the United States with the intention of continuing her teaching career; however, after learning that it was against the law to whip kids over here she branched off into nursing and worked as an LPN for many years. Sister Taylor was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Palm Coast and lent her vocal talents to a dynamic choir.

She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Vincent; six children, Pamela, Vincent Jr., Brian, Maxwell, Felicity, and Nikki; eight grandchildren, Keith, Ashley, Cory, Tamara, Tyrone, Cecilia, Samantha and Jason; one great-grandchild, Sariyah Jade; siblings, Lynette, Sheila, Esme, Dennis, and London; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Norma's preference, a private, virtual memorial service will be on Thursday, April 23 (Zoom Link: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/5167120525?pwd=b3gwQnZuNW1kcWdXOWo4OXQvZDI0QT09). To comply with travel and social distancing restrictions of the COVID-19 contagion, an open virtual memorial will be held on Saturday, May 2nd. The family gratefully declines floral arrangements.
