Obituary

Na'Ziyah Elizabeth Sharper, 5, of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life Sunday, September 16, 2018 as a result of injuries sustained in an early morning house fire in Pomona Park. The daughter of Nathan Sharper, Sr. and Kenyetta Lundy Whipple, she was born on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Na'Ziyah was a Kindergarten student at Middleton-Burney Elementary School and was dedicated to Christ at Johnson Temple Church of God in Christ. Na'Ziyah "Fatty" was a very loving, compassionate, and high spirited child who was an "old soul." Na'Ziyah loved to watch Dora the Explorer and Paw Patrol. She was absolutely daddy's little girl as well as her brother and sister's keeper.

Zaden Alvoid Sharper, 4, of Crescent City, simultaneously entered the sunset of life on Sunday, September 16, 2018 as a result of injuries sustained in an early morning house fire in Pomona Park. The son of Nathan Sharper, Sr. and Kenyetta Lundy Whipple, he was born on Monday, June 9, 2014. Zaden was a Pre-K student at Middleton-Burney Elementary School and was was dedicated to Christ at Johnson Temple Church of God in Christ. He loved attending school, eating cookies, watching Ninja Turtles, and playing video games with his dad. Zaden and his sisters shared a love for each other that did not have boundaries which made them inseparable. Zaden was the true definition of a mama's boy.

Na'Ziyah and Zaden were preceded in eternal rest by: maternal great-great grandparents, Johnnie (Mary L.) Dixon, paternal great-grandparents, Alvoid (Mattie "Johnnie Mae") Sharper, maternal great aunt, Victoria Lund, paternal great-great aunt, Eliza Crumedy, and brother, Nathan Sharper, Jr.

Cherishing the treasured memories of Na'Ziyah and Zaden: devoted parents, Nathan Sharper, Sr. and Kenyetta Lundy Whipple; sister, Na'Zarrah Sharper; paternal grandparents, Alvoid "Nathan" (Diane) Sharper; maternal grandparents, Elizabeth Lundy and Raymond Whipple; maternal great grandparents, Rosa Tucker and Winston Miller, maternal great grandmother, Geraldine Whipple; paternal aunt, Andrea Sharper; uncles, James (Monique) Pasco, Bryan (Kassie) Sharper, Kaytreon Gillespie, Dashon Gillespie; maternal great aunt, Lillian Scott; Kaden's godparents, Wallace (Lolita) Mims; Na'Ziyah's godmother, Crystal Brantley; and a host of other loving relatives and friends, including our special heroes, Kelvin Harris, Sapphire Hardy, and Dominique Adams.

The Na'Ziyah-Zaden Memorial Celebration will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, September 22 at Miller Intermediate School Auditorium, 101 S. Prospect Street, Crescent City. Elder Jarvis F. Wright, Pastor of New Saint Paul Church of God in Christ, Seville, officiating.
