Nathaniel Leslie Bush, 65, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Putnam Community Medical Center. Nathaniel was a native and lifelong resident of Crescent City, born on Thursday, February 17, 1949. He was educated in the Putnam County School District. He was a member of the Crescent City House of God Church where he loved singing his favorite song "O Lord Help Me to Carry On." His most joyful moments came when spending time with family and friends and he was notorious for always smiling and many were blessed to be in his presence. He leaves to cherish his memories: brother, Alvoid Nathan Sharper, Jr., Crescent City; two nephews, Nathan Sharper, Jr., Crescent City, Bryan (Kassie) Sharper, U.S. Army; one niece, Andrea Sharper, Crescent City; loving aunt, Nellie Bush, Trenton, NJ; caring god-sister, Zandra Nelson, Crescent City; loving god-brother, Tori Norris, Kansas City, MO; and a host of compassionate nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Visitation of family and friends will be Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 9-11 a.m. with Homegoing Celebration at 11 a.m. at The House of God Church, 1020 Clemons Lane, Crescent City, Elder Frank Matthews, Pastor. Elder H. Harry Banks, pastor of Johnson Temple Church of God in Christ, Crescent City, is the eulogist.
