Obituary

Nancy Rowe Blue, age 79, of Pomona Park, Florida, passed away on January 23, 2024. She was born on April 20, 1944, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Raymond Isidore Rowe and Agnes Kemper Rowe. Nancy grew up in Jacksonville Beach and never lost her love for the sand and waves. She graduated from Fletcher High School and went on to marry her beloved husband, James A Blue Jr, in 1963, recently celebrating 60 years of marriage together.

Nancy was a beautiful person inside and out, known for her loving and thoughtful nature. Her heart ran deep for the things she held closest to her. Her love for the Lord was immense and her faith was great. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. Nancy found great joy in being creative with her children and grandchildren, and she was an amazing cook. Her fried chicken, potato salad, pear pies, coconut cake and "oooooh" that peanut butter pie, were just a few of the delights she lovingly prepared for family and friends.

In her free time Nancy enjoyed the beach, dancing with her husband, and crafts such as knitting, crocheting and sewing. She loved to volunteer at her children's schools and 4H events and in her spare time, she was an avid reader. These activities brought her immense happiness and allowed her to cherish the moments spent with her loved ones.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, James A Blue, Jr; her loving children, James A Blue III (Sharon), Katherine B Quindoza (Chris), and Tracy L Kozak; her cherished grandchildren, Chad Kozak (Michelle), Afton Smith (Kyle), Braden Blue (Rachel), and Tyler Blue (Rachel), her adored great granddaughter, Kyleigh Jade Smith and crossing paths with her soon to be born great grandson, Grandyn Blue Smith. She is also survived by her sisters, Bette Rowe McDaniel and Frances Rowe, and her brothers, Daniel Rowe and Phillip Rowe (Hooty), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in eternal rest by her parents, Raymond Rowe and Agnes Kemper Rowe, as well as her brothers, Eugene Rowe and Michael Rowe, her sister, Joy Rowe Cole, her daughter-in-law, Brenda Blue, and her precious granddaughter, Kristin Taylor Quindoza.

Nancy Gail Blue will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
