Mother Minnie Hendrieth, 93, of Palatka entered the sunset of life on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Putnam Community Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Thomasville, Georgia, she was born on Wednesday, April 3, 1918 to Ms. Lillie Bell Gaskin and Mr. Freddie Mack. At an early age, her family relocated to St. Augustine, Florida and she was educated in the St. Johns County School District. She was united in marriage to Luther Hendrieth in St. Augustine. She worked many years as a farm laborer throughout the state of Florida. In 1952, Mother Hendrieth relocated to Palatka, Florida and resided here for nearly sixty years until the Lord called her to her eternal home. Mother Hendrieth was a dedicated born again Christian filled with the Holy Ghost and a true worshiper and soldier of the Lords army. She served faithfully for over 41 years in the Palatka Church of God by Faith, Inc. She served in numerous church ministries, especially the Missionary Department, Senior Choir, and on Mothers Board (subsequently became Chairman). Already greatly missed, she will be most remembered by her continuous smile and unconditional love shown to everyone she met.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her stepfather, Andrew Gaskin; daughters, Artie Lee Lewis and Pauline Townsend; sons, Luther Hendrieth, Jr., and James Hendrieth who transitioned on November 7, 2011.

She leaves to cherish her legacy of love: two daughters; Lillie Bell Brooks; Bessie Mae Thomas; one son; Izell Hendrieth; one daughter-in-law; Shirley Hendrith; all of Palatka 34 grandchildren; 86 great grandchildren; 88 great- great-grandchildren; 3 godchildren; and a host of other relatives, church family and loving friends.
