Pearlee "Diane" Wilson Youman, 62, of Palatka, answered her Master's call to enter her eternal Heavenly home on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Haven Hospice Custead Care Center in Orange Park. A native of Waycross, GA, she was born Wednesday, December 13, 1950 to William Mims Sr. and Iola Mickles and was raised by her aunt and uncle, Willie Mae and Abner Cooper. Since the age of 3, she has been a resident of Palatka and was a 1968 graduate of Central Academy High School. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and a Sleep Tech at The Sleep Medicine Center, Palatka until declining health prevailed. She was a sports enthusiast, terrific baker, who passionately watched wrestling and old westerns on T.V. She faithfully served as an evangelist, missionary, and "Church Mother" at Victorious Faith Church of God in Christ and formerly served at Pentecostal COGIC, Scott's Temple COGIC (later known as New Life Temple COGIC). In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in eternal rest by her brothers, Williams Mims Jr., Isaac Mims and Henry Thomas Jr., sisters, Betty Mae Connors, Rebecca "Earnestine" Williams and Pamela Thomas Ward. To cherish her memories: daughters, Na'shanda (Marvin) Fowler, Jacksonville; Latonya (Reginald) Allen, Palatka; Montoya (Travis) Howard, Palm Coast; Reverend Travis (Artwuan) Reynolds, Palatka; 11 grandchildren; brothers; Willie (Annie Mae) Battles Sr.; Johnson; Timothy (Pamela) Thomas Sr.; Frank (Brenda) Cooper, Cecil (Cathernell) Thomas Sr.; all of Palatka; Kenneth (Angela) Thomas, San Antonio, TX, sisters, Nora (Bobby) Walker Sr.; Muskegon, MI.; Sandra (Victor) Peeples, Jacksonville; Elizabeth (Wylie) Shingle, Palatka; Jodi Mims, Buffalo, NY; Stepfather, Henry (Roxie) Thomas, Sr.; Best friend, Overseer Minnie Ruth Hagans, East Palatka; devoted sister-in-law, Bonnie Mims, Buffalo, NY; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation of family and friends will be held from 5 - 7 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at Victorious Faith Church of God in Christ, 823 Husson Avenue, Palatka, Superintendent H. Wayne Colbert, Sr., pastor. Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 4 p.m. at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka. Superintendent H. Wayne Colbert, Sr., is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
