Messiah James Jordan
Kelley
Jan 7, 2005 — May 31, 2026
Born on Friday, January 7, 2005, in Daytona Beach, to Evahn A. Smith and James F. Kelley, Messiah was loved deeply by his family, friends, and everyone blessed to know him. Though his time on earth was brief, his life left a lasting impact on those who shared in his journey. Messiah was known for his big heart and his ability to make friends wherever he went. He loved making music and took great pride in being a father to his son. Whether he was with family, spending time with friends, or simply being himself, Messiah brought his own light into every room he entered. His love for Jordans led to him being considered a “sneaker head”. One of the greatest blessings of Messiah's life was the restoration of his relationship with his family during his final year. Surrounded by love, peace, and faith, he spent time reconnecting with those who loved him most. He attended church regularly, participated in Bible study, and grew in ways that brought great comfort to those closest to him.
Messiah was preceded in eternal rest by his grandfather, James E. Haskins of Wilson, North Carolina.
Messiah James Jordan Kelley entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
Cherished memories of Messiah remain with his son, Messiah Kelley, Jr. of Daytona Beach; mother, Evahn Smith of Palm Coast; father, James (Denean) Kelley of Wilson, North Carolina; brothers and sisters, Zion Hill of Daytona Beach, Marley Perry and Jonah Brown both of Palm Coast, Marcus Brown, Jr. of Daytona Beach, Amya Kelley and Destiny Tucker, both of Wilson, North Carolina; grandparents, Elder Cheryl Graham of Dallas, Georgia, Leevahn Smith, D.Min. of Atlanta, Georgia and Patricia Haskins of Wilson, North Carolina; uncle, Carrill (DeShundra) Smith of Valdosta, Georgia; aunts, Pakesha Haskins and Avonna Haskins both of Wilson, North Carolina; confidant, Jasmine Williams of Daytona Beach; and a host of cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Though we grieve his passing, we thank God for the gift of his life, the memories he leaves behind, and the love that will never be forgotten.
