Meredith Anne Lussier Bourassa Vecchiano, 65, of Interlachen, peacefully entered the sunset of life on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka. Meredith was born on Tuesday, July 17, 1956 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to Elinor Mae Shepherd-Karz and Raymond Bertrand Lussier. She received her GED and studied psychology at the St Johns River Community College and Miami-Dade Community College. Meredith went on to work as a waitress and as a nation-wide semi truck driver. Meredith was also a member of the Palatka Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #184. Meredith embodied a genuine spirit of love, care, devotion, spice, giving, laughter, faith, and family unity.
In addition to her parents, Meredith is heavenly reunited with her sisters, Diana Lussier, Kathleen Frisbie, Virginia "Sue" Piscipello, Florence Fernandes; brother Jack Karz, other loved ones and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Buddy William Vecchiano. 3 sons, Jason (Dixie) Bourassa, Sr., Adrian (Zanetta) Bourassa, and Buddy Vecchiano, Jr.; 4 daughters, Tina Freed, Angela Mackey, April Ogletree, and Jeanna Vecchiano; 8 grandchildren, Jason Bourassa Jr., Leland Vanattia, Joshua Aponte, Christopher Aponte, Gabriel Bourassa, Cypress Bourassa, Tatiana Byrd, and Chloe Guest; 1 great-grandson; Christopher Aponte, Jr.; 2 brothers, Peter (Brenda) Lussier, and Roy (Christa) Lussier; 2 sisters, Debbie Kenyon and Lisa (Paul) McCorkle, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mandatory CDC guidelines for social distancing and masks required): Memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, October 29, 2021 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Reverend Herbert Johnson, Jr., Pastor of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Palatka, officiating.
