Melody Ann Evans, 58, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, Palatka.  The daughter of Eddie Lawrence Sharp, Sr., and Emma Lee (Harris) Sharp, she was born on Sunday, January 12, 1964 in Palatka, FL.  Melody was educated in the Putnam County School District and a 1982 graduate of Palatka High School. She furthered her education at St. Augustine Vo-Tech Institute, earning a certification in Cosmetology. In 2012, Melody attended Sanford Brown Institute, earning certification as a Medical Assistant. She was formerly employed as a Home Health Aide in St. Augustine. Melody was a member of Spirit of the Living God Ministries, where she served as a Missionary Evangelist, Secretary and Intercessor.  Melody loved to worship and praise God. She also enjoyed singing and swimming.

In addition to her parents, Melody was preceded in eternal rest by her uncle, James A. Harris, Sr.; aunt, Retha M. Davis.

Melody leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Aaronion Lachelle Evans, Crystal Leigh Evans, Monique L. Evans; grandchildren, Kamarah K. Evans, Jeremiah A. Evans, Isaiah M. Evans, Ethan J. Evans; brother, Eddie L. (Virginia) Sharp, Jr.; sisters, Laura (Thomas) Brown, Emma (Shad) Schendorf; aunts, Ella M. Holmes, Lula B. Harris; uncle, Walter E. Harris, Sr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 10-11 a.m. with Homegoing Celebration commencing at 11 a.m., Friday, April 22 at Holy Temple of God, 129 Big Apple Road, East Palatka. Melody's brother-in-law, Pastor Thomas L. Brown, Sr., Spirit of the Living God Ministries, Orange Park, is the eulogist.
