Mattie Marie Williams Hill, 54, Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, Febuary 14th 2008 following a brief illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Palatka, born March 23, 1954. She was a homemaker, who previously was employed as a custodian and a nursing assistant. She was a member of the I.D.M.R. Mattie was a fun loving person who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in eternal rest by her mother, Arlena Williams; father, Johnnie Mitchell; and sister, Christine Williams. To cherish her memories, husband, Kenneth Lee Hill, Palatka; daughters, Arlene Session, West Palm Beach, Elsie Lawrence, Christine (Ronald) Isom, Rudetha Johnson, and Shannon (Clifton) Ellington all of Palatka; Sisters; Carolyn Baker, Rudetha Williams, Elizabeth (Harold) Nealy, all of Palatka; Ernestine Ivory, West Palm Beach; Brothers; Albert Williams, Thomas Williams, John Lee Williams, all of Palatka; 11 Grandchildren: Danielle Hunter, Synteria Myles, Ariel Session, Dorian Lowe, Teresha Miller, Eric Hill, Clifton Ellington, Breona Robison, Naomi Edwards, Chance Hagans, Chloe Isom; Special friend, Larry Turner, Palatka; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. With respect to Matties wishes, a private family memorial will be held at the Chapel of Serenity with memorialization by cremation.
