Mary Lou Poharski Timura, 71, of Palatka (formerly Enfield, Connecticut) peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, May 28, 2023. She was born at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT to Henry and Victoria Poharski. After graduating from Enfield High School in 1970,  she received her Associate's degree from Asnuntuck College. After college she worked at Hallmark Cards in Bow Manufacturing for 29 years. She was also employed by Hannoush Jewelers and Mary Kay as a cosmetics consultant. Mary Lou had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. Growing tomatoes and strawberries with her father, Henry J. Poharski, was one of her favorite activities. Mary Lou also enjoyed telling humorous jokes and giving gifts to friends and family. She loved spending time with family, friends, and her dog, Cody. Mary Lou loved to vacation in New Hampshire, Florida, and New Orleans.

She was preceded by her parents, Henry John and Victoria Louise Poharski, Richard Pollio; favorite aunt, Mary Wysocki.

She is survived by her sisters, Susan Russo, Joanne Pollio and Phyllis VanHasselt; nieces and nephews, Nicole Hallwood, Amy Hallwood, Christine, Patrick Cooney, Mark and Amanda Pollio; great nieces and nephews, Sage Hallwood, Ryan and Calyn  Cooney, Henry and William Pollio.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary Lou's honor to: St. Jude's Children's Hospital. A memorial service celebrating Mary Lou's life will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Flagg's Chapel of Serenity, 2400 Madison Street, Palatka, Florida.
