Obituary

Mary Ann Kelly Williams, 72, of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Halifax Health Medical Center, Daytona Beach.  She was a native of Camilla (Mitchell County), GA.  The eldest of 9 children, Mary was the daughter of George Kelly, Jr. and Ethel Clayton, born on Sunday, August 1, 1948. She was educated in the Putnam County School District and a 1966 graduate of Middleton High School, Crescent City.  On May 5, 1972, she united in marriage to Joshua Williams and they became proud parents of two sons and a daughter.  She was a longtime fernery worker and hairdresser who enjoyed babysitting children. Mary was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church, Crescent City and was very gifted. She enjoyed socializing with family and friends. She truly loved her grandchildren and was overprotective of them. Mary was a down to earth genuine person who everybody loved.

In addition to her parents and husband , she was preceded in eternal rest by her brothers , George Kelly lll, Jeff Kelly; sister, Janice Kelly.

She leaves to cherish her memories: sons , Joshua Williams, Jr., and Jarvis J. Williams; daughter, Catherine C. Williams, Daytona Beach; brothers, Al Kelly, Sr., Lawton, OK; Willie Kelly, Crescent City; Robert Kelly, Palatka; sisters, Dale Sally, Avon Park; Ruby "Jewel" Kelly-Mosley, Crescent City; 6 grandchildren , Masia, Malachi, Ja'Asia, Jeremiah, Jayla, Shameek; nieces , Monique V. Kelly, Janice Scott, Tina Thomas, Temp Kelly, Lashay Kelly, Angel Johnson; nephews , Al Kelly, Jr., Raymond Sally, Dantavious Kelly, Terry Kelly, Anthony Hall, Dwight Kelly, George Kelly, Harrison Kelly; aunties , Mammie Clayton, Gloria Clayton, Bet Clayton, Loriane Clayton, Katie Mae Moody-Hamilton, and Margie Kelly; and a host of other relatives and friends including, Marco Miler, Lisa Washington Miler, Tanjala Walker, Leslie Betrand, and Jennifer Betrand.

In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines including required masks with social distancing, a visitation of family and friends will be from 8-10 a.m., Saturday, January 30 with a Celebration of Life commencing at 10 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 286 Smiley Store Road, Crescent City. Reverend Michael Robinson, Pastor, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Crescent City.
