Mary Dunbar Campbell, 80, of Palatka entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka. A native of Folkston, GA., she was born on Sunday, December 20, 1936 to Richard and Josephine (Jordan) Dunbar. She was educated in the Charlton County GA School District. Mary relocated to Palatka in the early 1970's. Her hobbies included gardening. She was loving and kind-hearted to everyone she met. Mary was a woman of faith who believed in God's word, the bible, and the ransom sacrifice that God provided through his Son, Christ Jesus.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her devoted husband, Deacon Smith Campbell, Jr., four sisters and a brother.
She leaves to cherish her memories: son, Larry Dunbar, Gainesville; adopted daughter, Tremaine (Morris) Jeffers, Palm Coast; several grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews; especially devoted nephew and niece (caregivers), Patricia (Dennis) Edwards, Palatka.
Visitation of family and friends will be 4-7 p.m., Monday, August 21, 2017 at the chapel. A Celebration of Life at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity," Brother Freddie Bostick, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
