Marvin Anthony Edwards, 38, of Miami, entered the sunset of life on Monday, September 15 at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami. Marvin resided in Miami for over 20 years. He was born January 20, 1970, in Palatka, Florida. He was educated in the Dade County School system, Miami. He was employed at Orderly at North Shore Hospital and formerly a telemarketer. Marvin attended First Deliverance Church of God in Christ, Miami and enjoyed singing bass in the choir under the direction of Elder Elijah Cohen. Marvin is preceded in eternal rest by his brother Michael Edwards. To cherish his memories: mother, Eula Clay, Crescent City, Father & stepmother, Thomas (Sally) Edwards, Palatka; sisters Shentae (Michael) Foster, San Mateo; Connie (Otis) Burley, Stephanie (Michael) Edwards, both of Palatka; brothers, Cecil (Kim) Edwards, Sr., Thomas Hill, Derick Hill, Terrance (Kira) Edwards, all of Palatka, Thomas (Gene) Edwards, Jr., Bradenton; Harrison (LaToya) Edwards, Sr., Bethany, OK; Fredrick (Dion) Hill, Bellevue, NE, Anthony (Lisa) Hodges, Green Cove Springs; Paternal Grandparents, Henry & Maudie Mae Wilcox, Green Cove Springs ; Maternal Grandparents, Serina Williams, Pomona Park; Jessie Clay, Lakeland, FL ; Godfather, Elder Willie J. Thompkins, Miami, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and grieving friends. Visitation of family and friends will be Friday, September 26, 5-8p.m. at the Chapel of Serenity. Homegoing services will be Saturday, Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. at The House of God Church, 723 N 19th St., Palatka, Dr. Gilbert L. Evans,Jr., pastor. Interment will be in Oak Hill East Cemetery.
