Marvin "Bubba Head" Brown, 38, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Community Hospice Bailey Family Center, St. Augustine. The son of Frank Brown and Shirley (Drayton) Brown, he was native of Fort Bragg, NC born on Tuesday, July 17, 1979. He was a 1997 graduate of First Coast High School, Jacksonville. Marvin was a construction worker for several years in the Jacksonville area. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Marvin was an avid University of Alabama and Jacksonville Jaguars football fan.
He was preceded in eternal rest by his brother, Frank Terrell Brown; paternal grandparents, Enoch Brown and Annie Bell Brown; maternal grandparents, Nathaniel Drayton and Corry Gray; aunts and uncles, Emma Abdullah, Pansy (John L.) Henderson and Jimmy Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters, Markevia Brown and Marvinuna Brown, both of Palatka; parents, Frank and Shirley Brown, Stockbridge, GA; brothers, Dewayne Brown, Stockbridge, GA; Sgt. Dominic Brown, El Paso, TX; grandmother, Frances Nicklow, Palatka; niece, Kayden Brown, Palatka; aunts & uncles, Enoch Brown, Jr., Allen Brown, Corry (Sherry) Williams, Frank (Debra) Hall, Joseph Drayton, Robert (Sylvia) Drayton, Nathaniel Drayton, Gary Drayton, Ray Drayton, James Scott, Mary Richardson, Willie Mae Lee, Brenda (Benjamin) Palmer, Bertha (Willie) Denson, Mary Drayton, Faye (Anthony) Royster, Barbara Jean Russell, Glenda Scott; and a host of cousins, other relatives and dear friends, including his best friends, Kevin Adams, Cartageous Valentine, Shiron Brooks and Earnest Harris, all of Palatka.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m., Friday, November 24 and Celebration of Marvin's Life will be 3:30 p.m., Saturday, November 25 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Reverend James Vickers, Pastor of New Mt. Tamo Baptist Church, Pomona Park, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
