Marlene Taylor Wiseman, 80, of East Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the Satterwhite Campus of Haven Hospice, Roberts Care Center. A native of Tifton, Ga., she was the daughter of John C. and Mary Rebecca (King) Taylor, Sr. At the age of 5, her family relocated to Florida. She was a lifelong resident of the Palatka/East Palatka area and was educated in the Putnam County School District at Mellon High School. Marlene retired from the Georgia-Pacific Tissue Converting Department following 37 years of employment. She was the beloved wife of Delano Wiseman, Sr., and they were united in marriage for 64 years. Marlene was a dedicated Christian. In addition to being a devoted wife and wonderful mother, she was very passionate about fishing and crocheting. Marlene is preceded in eternal rest by her parents.

Wiseman (wife Rebecca), Palm Coast; Robert Kent Wiseman (wife Peggy), Fort Myers; Paul Scott Wiseman (wife Susan), Hartsville, SC; Daughter, Sherryl Sessor (husband James), East Palatka; 2 sisters, Neville Stallings, Palatka; Patty Escalera, High Springs; Brother, John C. Taylor, Jr., Gainesville; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the Wiseman family humbly requests memorial contributions be made in loving memory of Marlene T. Wiseman to Mandal Diabetes Foundation, 665 SR 207, Suite 102, St. Augustine, FL 32084 or Haven Hospice-Roberts Care Center, 6400 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, FL 32177.
A service to honor Marlene's life and legacy will be held graveside at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at Palatka Memorial Gardens, 4070 Silver Lake Drive, Palatka; Reverend Harry Varnadoe, retired minister of Francis Baptist Church, officiating. The family scheduled a private visitation.Visits: 1
