Obituary

Marjorie Lee Holsey, 78, of Lake City, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Haven Hospice E. T. York Care Center, Gainesville. The daughter of Sam Lee, Jr. and Mother Pearlie B. Lee, she was born on Friday, April 12, 1946 in Arlington, GA. Margie completed her education in 1968, graduating from William M. Raines High School, Jacksonville, Duval County. She was employed by Jiffy Foods Corporate office in Jacksonville as an Accounting Clerk, JCPenney in Lake City as a Cosmetic Specialist and the Columbia Correctional Institution.

Margie previously served at Miracle Tabernacle Church, Apostle Cleopatra J. Steele, Lake City, where she was a Church Mother, Sunday School Teacher, and an avid student of the bible. Her testimony was God, faith and family. She lived her life as a born-again, Spirit-filled believer and follower of Jesus Christ. Margie was a jubilant soul. She loved to laugh and she always exemplified a spirit of care and concern for all she encountered. Above all the many things she accomplished, her greatest joy was her family.

In addition to her parents, Margie is preceded in eternal rest by her 6 brothers: Stanley King, Elder Willie James Lee, Albert Lee, Luther James Lee, Sgt. Ernest Lee, John R. Lee; 3 sisters; Mary Frances Harris, Missionary Evonne Sherman, and Mother Pauline Lee; brothers-in-law, Issac Harris and Robert Sherman; sister-in-law, Thomasina Beauford Lee.

Margie leaves to cherish her memories: beloved son, Daryl Gregory (Iyana) Medlock; granddaughter, Diamond Hall of Ft. Lauderdale; two bonus sons, Derrick Holsey and Greg Holsey, both of Palatka; two brothers, Jessie J. Lee of Palatka; Oliver "Paul" Edward Lee of Gainesville; two sisters, Bettye Lee (James) Cooper of East Palatka; Nancy Lee Wright of Palatka; and a host of devoted nieces and nephews, other relatives, saints and friends.
