Marion Jennetta "Moo-Lou" McRae, 68, a native and lifelong resident of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, Palatka. The daughter of Mossie and Thelma Lee (Nelson) McRae, she was born on Saturday, April 1, 1950. She was educated in the Putnam County School District. Marion was a people person who always enjoyed helping anyone she could in the community. Her hobbies included cooking, housekeeping, listening to music and she really loved being outdoors.
In addition to her parents; Marion was preceded in eternal rest by her siblings, Alfred Green, Elizabeth Lumpkin, Lillie Mae McCullough, Jacqueline Morrell, Connie Holtz, William Tyrone McRae, and Roberta Geames.
She leaves to cherish her memories: special daughter, Keiwanna (Earnest) Belton, Satsuma; grandchildren, Tatyanna Hagans, Tynia Belton, Earnest Belton III, Satsuma; siblings, Katherine Jackson, West Palm Beach; Juanita Abram, Sacramento, CA; Fannie McRae, Green Cove Springs; Odessa (Charles) Junior, Tampa; Timothy McRae, Jacksonville; Rose Marie Williams, Sandra Brooks, Richard Carr, Vannie Ruth McRae, and Michael McRae, all of Palatka; god-children, Marion Session, Cynthia Session, Cartageous Valentine, and Kimule (Devey) Fate, Palatka; Sabrina (Andray) Carrington, Belle Glade; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation of Family and Friends will be from 5-8 p.m., Friday, November 2, at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity". Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m., Saturday, November 3, at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 719 Reid Street, Palatka, Reverend James McGriff, pastor. Reverend Andrew McRae, Pastor of Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, Gainesville, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
