IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marietta Burton
Clark
October 14, 1966 – March 31, 2024
Marietta Laverne Burton Clark, the daughter of Andrew Benjamin Burton, Sr. and Cheryl Lavern Broxton, was born on Friday, October 14, 1966 in Bartow, Florida. She was educated in the Brevard County School District. Marietta was formerly employed by Putnam County Medical Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant until her health declined shortly after. She enjoyed singing and dancing.
Marietta, affectionately known as "Pumpkin", was a loving and passionate person. She loved helping people in any way she could. Her passion for helping others was infectious and she inspired those around her to embrace life with the same genuine spirit. She loved hard and cared even harder. She loved her family, she loved her children, and she adored her grandbabies. She enjoyed spending quality time with them. She would give her last to someone in need and wouldn't think twice about it. She never met a stranger, and if she did, after their meeting, they were family. Although she had a lot of health complications, she handled it with grace and it never stopped her from smiling and having a great sense of humor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her brother, Kevin Tyrone Wilson; sister, Kimberly Rhone Paine; maternal grandfather, Shelly Broxton; maternal grandmother, Willie Mae Haines; paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Rosanna Burton; aunts, Kerri Ellis, Linda Dunmore, Annie Meade, Betty Williamson; uncles, Joseph Bryant, Lloyd "LC" Burton, Bobby Lee Burton; especially her treasured miniature poodle/furbaby, "Silk" Burton.
Marietta Burton Clark, 57, of Melbourne (former resident of Palatka), entered the sunset of life on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at AdventHealth Orlando.
She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Elvis Clark, Sr.; sons, Ian Terrell (Chakeyia) Burton, Ricardo Antwan Burton; 4 grandchildren, Zaydah, Ian, Zacari, Imani Burton; 2 brothers, Andrew (Connie) Burton, Maurice (Sharon) Burton; 3 sisters, Sheila Jenkins, Katrina Mohammad, Sharon Washington; aunts and uncles, Ricardo Broxton, Vickie Broxton, Marilyn Burton, Karen (Lewin) Burrell; mother-in-law, Beatrice Wheeler; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Linda and Allan Alexander, Charlotte and James Young, Virginia and James Jones, Walter and Rebecca Gibbs, Teresa and Calvester Cason, Latoya and Xavier Coleman, Tommy and Lesley Gibbs, Timothy Gibbs, Leitha Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
