Marcus Dontell Lloyd was born on Friday, January 7, 1977 to Carmelita Graham and John Lloyd, Jr. in Punta Gorda, Florida. He was educated in the Charlotte County School District and a graduate of Charlotte High School Class of 1995.

Marcus was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed basketball, football and chess. He developed a knack for grilling and became quite skilled as a culinary master. Marcus’ passion for cooking and serving quality foods led him to become an entrepreneur with ownership in a restaurant.

Marcus united with Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Palm Coast last year under the leadership of Rev. Edwin Coffie. Participation and completion of the New Member Orientation Class at his new church home brought Marcus much excitement. He was recently baptized and received the Right Hand of Fellowship. With an eagerness to serve, Marcus had narrowed down his list of ministry interests and was set to connect with the ministry soon.

Marcus entered the sunset of life on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast.

Cherished memories of Marcus remain with his mother, Carmelita (Robert) Kaufmann; father, Johnny Lloyd, Jr; daughters, Saynia Lloyd and Katia Lloyd; son, “Ahkeem”; brother; Johnny Lloyd, III; grandmother, Altamese Jones; cousin, Erica Blandin and a host of other family members and friends who loved him.
