Mamie Clark, 91, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Monday, April 15, 2024 at her residence. A native of Palatka, she was the daughter of Robert and Edna Passmore, born on March 6, 1933. Mamie was educated in the Putnam County School System. She was employed as a manager at Kentucky Fried Chicken and the kitchen at the Arlington House for several years. Mamie Lou enjoyed spending time with her family, especially on Saturdays when her grandson, Lil Frank, and his wife, Meeka, were selling barbeque, and her daughter, Gladis, was selling cakes. This recurring weekend event was sure to have family members visiting her throughout the day. She loved her family dearly and anticipated spending time with each of them. Mamie and her sister, Loretta, had a daily ritual of watching soap operas: "The Young and the Restless" followed by "The Bold and the Beautiful". She enjoyed watching her favorite baseball team, The Atlanta Braves.

In addition to her parents, Mamie was preceded in eternal rest by her brothers, Robert Passmore and Willie James Passmore.

To cherish her memories: sons and daughters, Frank Johnson, Richard Clark, Marsha (Earl) Glenn, Eugene Evans, and Gladis (Nathaniel) Thomas; sisters, Loretta (William) Hardy, and Victoria Foster.

Visitation of family and friends will be 4-6 p.m., Friday, April 19, at Flagg's Chapel of Serenity. Celebration of Life will be 1 p.m., Saturday, April 20, at Palatka Church of God by Faith, 1511 Washington St, Palatka. Rev. Akin Ross, pastor and eulogist. Interment will follow in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
