Prophetess Lula Mae Ivey Peoples, 77, of Palatka, peacefully transitioned from her earthly life to life eternal with the Lord on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka. The daughter of George and Willie Mae Epps, Sr., she was born on Sunday, October 1, 1938 in Williston, FL. She was educated in the Levy County School District. In the early 1960's she relocated to Palatka and has been a resident for over 50 years. Her life was truly dedicated to raising her family with a commitment to proclaim the gospel of Jesus

Christ. She was united in holy matrimony to Louis Ivey, Jr. and subsequently to Jaufees Peoples, Sr.

On April 30, 1972, she accepted her ministerial call to serve under the pastoral leadership of Dr. Ruth Lowe-Reaves. She was one of the founding members of the church instituting the Universal Church of Christ, Dominion of God, Inc., (subsequently renamed The Temple of God Miracle Deliverance Center and presently known as To God Be the Glory Holiness Church-Pastor Linda Hall). She was highly respected as a longtime Assistant Pastor, serving loyally for over 40 years. Her mission was to love everyone, evangelize those that were lost and present them an opportunity to meet and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. She displayed and demonstrated the unconditional love of Jesus Christ daily through her lifestyle. "Mother Peoples" leaves a legacy that will be treasured forever through her kindred spirit and loving smile.

In addition to her parents and both husbands, she was preceded in eternal rest by her son and daughters, Woodrow Jackson, Margaret Cobb, Mary Jackson Goss, and Mary Frances Myles; siblings, Enoch, Emmitt, Nathaniel and George Epps, Jr., Sally Epps Pennycooke and Virginia Epps Harris.
