Obituary

Luis Alberto Cedeno, 73, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at HCA FL Putnam Hospital, Palatka. Luis Cedeno was a native of Utuado, Puerto Rico. The son of his beloved parents, Leonardo Cedeno and Juana Torres, he was born on Thursday, November 1, 1951. As a young adult, Luis moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut where he met Carmen Arocho and on Oct. 2, 1982, they united in holy matrimony. Along with his wife, Luis is survived by nine children; Estella, Ada, Rosa, Joel, Louis and Wilson as well as Marisol, Luis and Elvin; 21 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and two sisters, Miriam and Iris Cedeno.

Luis began living in Palatka in 2005. He worked for many years at Bayview Assisted Living in St. Augustine. Throughout his life, he enjoyed fishing, painting and listening to Latin music. In 2016, Luis retired and dedicated himself to helping raise his newest grandchild, Camryn. Everyone who knew Luis will deeply miss him and cherish his memory.  He will forever live in their hearts.

Visitation of family and friends will be held from 9-11 a.m., with a Celebration of Life commencing at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 12, at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity".
