Louise Kendall Walker, 78, of Georgetown, was called home by our Heavenly father on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka. A native and lifelong resident of Georgetown, she was the daughter of Sandy Kendall and Sarah Cook Rogers, born on Friday, October 5, 1934. She was a graduate of Central Academy High School. She was employed by Lakeside Seafood, Pomona Park as a as a Seafood Processor. She was united in marriage to Howard Walker, Sr. and they were the blessed parents of four loving children, Howanda, Gwendolyn, Gloria and Howard, Jr. She likewise cherished her loving son, Lonell Wilson, Jr. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and working puzzles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her step-dad, Walter "Walt" Rogers; special loving companion, Lonell Wilson, Sr., and their son, Lonell, Jr. "Sugar Bear". Those who will forever cherish her memories: husband, Howard Walker Sr., Georgetown; daughters, Howanda Walker and Gloria Walker, both of Atlanta, GA; Gwendolyn Walker, Georgetown; son, Howard (Alicia) Walker, Jr., Ellenwood, GA; brother, Raleigh (Mary) McMillan, Fruitland; sister, Bertha Lee Blakely, Welaka; two special sisters, Louise Wilson and Martha Wilson, both of Waldo; loving grandchildren, Derrick, Dionne, Dana. Howard III, Tarvis, Deidre, Kimberly, Tobias, Yolanda, Crystal, Jessica, & Lonell III, including special granddaughter, Aleta "Cabbage Patch" Walker, Atlanta, GA; special daughters, Edna McDonald, Columbus, GA; Narvie Huggins, Atlanta, GA; Ann Green, Palatka; goddaughter, Patricia McCoy, Welaka; and a host of great-grandchildren; other relatives and caring friends. Visitation of family and friends will be from 6 - 8 pm Friday, March 15th at Pleasant Grove A.M.E. Church, 131 Georgetown Shortcut Rd, Georgetown, FL. Homegoing Celebration will be 3 p.m. Saturday, March 16th at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity," 2400 Madison Street, Palatka. Rev. Karl N. Flagg, pastor of Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, Palatka is the eulogist. Interment will be in the Welaka-Georgetown Cemetery, Welaka.
