Louise Wright (Ford) Jones, 83, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Putnam Community Medical Center. A native of Macon, GA., she was born on Monday, August 6, 1928 to R.T. Wright and Henrietta Tuff. She was educated in the Bibb County Georgia Public School system. She has resided in Palatka since 2006, moving from Leesburg, FL. Louise was a former member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Leesburg and a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. She was skillful agricultural laborer and enjoyed attending church, fishing, gardening, and playing cards. She was preceded in eternal rest by her parents; husbands, Curley Ford and Lewis Jones, Sr.; sons, Robert Ford and Bryant Jones, Sr., brothers, Willie Frank Brinson and John Lee Brinson; granddaughter, Gwendolyn Warren. Those who will cherish her legacy of love: devoted children, Elouise Williams, Lakeland; Annette (Mikhal) Hanna, Linda (Leon) Session, Lewis (Denese) Jones, all of Palatka; Elaine (Joseph) Walker, Tampa; William Small and John Henry Jones, both of Leesburg; daughters-in-law, Tamekia Ford, Palatka; Yolanda Jones, Leesburg; sister; Bobbie (Joseph) Nelson, Ft. Meade; brother-in-law; Odell (Elouise) Ford, Sr., East Palatka; sisters-in-law, Bertha Ford Norwood, Palatka; Dorothy Robinson and Rosalie (Jo Lee) Jenkins, Sara McDuffie all of North Carolina; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; twenty-eight great-great grandchildren; special friend, Rita Session, Palatka and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and loving friends. Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 2, at the "Chapel of Serenity." Homegoing Celebration will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 800 Madison Street, Palatka, Deacon Alphonso McRae, Chairman of Deacons and Reverend Gregory Session, eulogist. The cortege will assemble 10:40 a.m. Saturday at her church.
