Louise Minner James, 79, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Putnam Community Medical Center. A native of Lake City, she was daughter of Eugene and Susie May (Williams) Minner, born on Saturday, October 26, 1940. She was educated in the Putnam County School District at Central Academy High School. Louise was a member of Pentecostal Church of God in Christ where she served in the Choir Ministry until her health declined. She was a homemaker and migrant worker most of her life. Louise enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading her bible, listening to church music, and cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her husband, Jessie James (2004), four brothers and four sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memories: sons and daughters, Laura Simon, Eugene (Patsy) Scott, Thirkee (Charles) Scott, Jerome Scott, Curtis Ford, Lisa Ward; 29 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren; 19 great-great grandchildren; 3 brothers, James Flemming, John Lee, Alphonzo Griffin; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Delores (Joseph) Lee, Ephonia (Andrew) McCray; aunts & uncles, James Minner, John Minner, Beatrice Minner, Liz Homes, Josh Homes, Linda Homes, Linna Homes; godchildren, Ronice Fells, Bridgette Brockington, Cassandra Clarity, Wayne Hines, Jerry Hines; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines (including required masks), a socially-distanced graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 29 at Resthaven Cemetery, 690 Old San Mateo Rd., San Mateo, FL 32187. Elder Johnny Shaw, Pastor Emeritus, Pentecostal Church of God in Christ, is the eulogist.
