Lorenzo "Doll Baby" Slaughter, Sr., 62, of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life on Friday, February 10, 2017, at Haven Hospice Custead Care Center, Orange Park. The son of Bud & Cleo (Mitchner) Slaughter, he was born on Saturday, January 22, 1955 in Palatka. He was a 1973 graduate of Crescent City High School. He was formerly employed with the Putnam County School District as a custodian and subsequently became employed with Duval Homes, Deleon Springs, as a maintenance worker. At an early age, Lorenzo joined and was baptized at New Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, Crescent City, under the leadership of Reverend E.L. Yorker.
