Linda Gail Smart Hall, 62, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka. A native and lifelong resident of Palatka, she was the daughter of Johnnie Webb and Rosa Lee Sheppard Smart, born on Monday, June 30, 1958. She was educated in the Putnam County School District and a 1977 graduate of Central Academy High School. In 1983, Linda was united in marriage to Larry Lee Hall, Sr. She was a member of Soul Mission Church of God in Christ, Palatka. She was a prayer warrior and president of the Pastor's Aide Committee and a member of the Women's Mass Choir. Linda was formerly employed as a nurse at several healthcare facilities, including: Governor's Creek, Crestview Nursing Home, Ponce De Leon Nursing Home, and Palatka (Solaris) Health Care Center. Cooking was her passion and she also enjoyed shopping, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her sisters , Eartha Jean Smart, Sharon Smart; brother; Henry Webb.
She leaves to cherish her memories: husband of 38+ years, Larry Lee Hall, Sr.; sons, Darrell (Maritza) Jones, Torrey Smart, Sr., Johnny Batts, Sr., Lee Hall, Sr., Demarian Hall, Larry Hall, Jr. Henry Hall; daughters, Helen Webb, Cheral Colson; grandchildren, Divinci, Demareon, Dayden, Derio, Darrell, Jr., Jada, Torrey, Jr., Johnny, Jr., Rosa Hall, Kamari, Lee, Jr., Jeremiah, Lebrianna, Leasia; sisters, Irene Davids, Cora Haynes, both of Brooklyn, NY; Ella Sue Polite, Panama City; brother-in-law, George Roland; sister-in-law, Vanessa Carwell, Belle Glade; goddaughter, Yolanda Florence; god-sister, Kathy Ivey, West Palm Beach; aunts, Constance McRae, Sadie Thomason; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines including required masks with social distancing, a visitation of family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m. at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." A Celebration of Linda's Life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, February 13 at Putnam County Fairgrounds Pavilion, 118 Fairgrounds Road, East Palatka, FL. Elder Alonzo Mulberry, Pastor, Soul Mission COGIC, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill East Cemetery, Palatka.
