Linda Louise Gardner-Douglas, 55, of Jacksonville, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at UF Shands, Jacksonville. A native of Palatka, Linda was the daughter of James and Betty Ann (Jones) Gardner Jr., born on Wednesday, September 30, 1959. She resided in Palatka before the family relocated to Jacksonville during her childhood years. On January 3, 1985, Linda was united in marriage to Lloyd Douglas. Linda's favorite pastimes include spending time ("turning up") with family and friends, and fishing. Linda was preceded in eternal rest by her father, James Gardner, Jr., mother, Betty Ann Johnson; grandparents, Supt. Johnnie J. (Celia) Jones, Sr., Izola M. Jones, Annie L. Brown, James Gardner, Sr.; and son-in-law, Anthony Jerome Washington, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Lloyd Douglas, Hastings; devoted son and daughter, Kilalblo Wilson, Sr., and Kendra Washington, both of Jacksonville; stepfather, Fredrick Johnson, Palatka; grandchildren, Kilalblo Jr., KiVontay, and Kibrelle Wilson, A'Miracle, Octavus, Anthony, Jr. and Mattie Washington, all of Jacksonville; brother, Arthur Gardner, Richmond, VA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A service at the gravesite to honor Linda's life will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, September 5 at Oak Hill West Cemetery, 712 S. Palm Avenue, Palatka, Elder Johnnie Jones, IV, of Refuge Mandarin Church of our Lord Jesus Christ will be officiating.
