Constance Linda Marie "Marybeth" Ashe, 66, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital, Palatka. The daughter of Mildred Canty and David McCoy, Sr., she was born on Thursday, January 12, 1956 in Welaka. "Linda" as she was affectionately known, was educated at Matthew Scippio Academy (Ocala) and Middleton High School (Crescent City). She was a faithful member of the Welaka Church of God by Faith for many years, where she did the work of a missionary. She recently became a faithful member of the Palatka Church of God by Faith, where she served as an usher and greeter. Anything her hands found to do in the Lord's house, she did it. Linda enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, gardening, and arts & crafts.
In addition to her parents, Constance was preceded in eternal rest by her son, Monty McCoy; brothers, David McCoy Jr., Lawrence Charles McCoy, Jerry Canty; sisters, Thelma Smith, Diane Canty Harper, Gwendolyn Canty.
She leaves to cherish her memories: loving husband, Robert Ashe; sons and daughters , Selena (Devon) McCoy Norris, Derald Evans, Dameshia McCoy, Anthony McCoy, Treteako Ashe, Taknocca Ashe, Ashley (Brian) Brantley; grandchildren , Brittany Evans, Auntiana McCoy, Dionna McCoy, Shanna Evans, Altavius Stewart, Anthony McCoy, Jr., Jasuan McCoy, Tamyria Robinson, Ca'mari Clay, Z'arrie Robinson, Aubrey Brantley, Xavier Brantley, Tylhn Brantley, Maliah McCoy, Latisha Ashe, Alesha Ashe, Simeon Barbary, Amyra Ashe; brothers , James Canty, Oliver Canty, Calvin (Cheryl) Canty, David (Tamela) McCoy, Troy (Jamelle) McCoy; sisters , Delores (Johnny) Brown, Pauline (Wesley) Solomon, Sandra (James) Herring, Deniese (Orestus) Miller, Marilyn Hagans; sister-in-law , Edna McCoy; god-daughter , Tammy Boles, and host of aunts, uncles, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, August 26 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m., Saturday, August 27 at Palatka Church of God by Faith, 1511 Washington Street, Palatka, Pastor Akin Ross, officiating. Interment will be in Welaka-Georgetown Cemetery.
