Lillie Bell Bradshaw, 98, of Palatka, peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at her Eagle Street residence. A native of Nunez (Emanuel County), GA., she was the daughter of Thomas "Bozie" Johnson, Sr. and Lettie Mincey Johnson, born on Monday, September 25, 1922. She was educated in the Emanuel County GA., School District at Emanuel County High School. She was united in marriage to Ferlow Bradshaw (he preceded her in eternal rest on November 7, 1974). Lillie was a presser for many years at the former Ideal Laundry & Dry Cleaners and was employed by the Putnam County School District as a Dietary Assistant at Palatka High School. She was a longtime member of Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Palatka. "Lillie Bell" was a classy lady who enjoyed wearing clothes from her custom wardrobe and driving her Cadillac Eldorado. She loved tending to her flowers and her hobbies included gardening, baking cakes, and sewing.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in eternal rest by her son, Kenneth Bradshaw; brothers, William, Willie, Issac, Thomas, and Sylvester Johnson; sisters , Betty Byrd, Claudia Moore, Alberta Watson and Dora Lee Patterson,
She leaves to cherish her memories: 3 daughters, Betty (W.J.) Durden, Linda Lee, Doris Bibbins; 2 sons, Fred L. Bradshaw, Jerry Bradshaw; 15 grandchildren, Yulanda McDonald, Garrett Durden, LaTanya Lee, Lance Hutchinson; Keith, Darren, and Darrell Bibbins; Fredrick, Christopher, Brian, and Erica Bradshaw; Genisha Cohens, Keshia Hughes, Kenneth Bradshaw, Jr., Charis Bailey; sister , Wylean (Claude) Murray; 26 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines (including required masks) a socially-distanced visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday, April 2 at Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and a Homegoing Celebration will be 1 p.m., Saturday, April 3 at Putnam County Fairgrounds Pavilion, 118 Fairgrounds Road, East Palatka. Her nephew, Rev. Stanley Moore, Pastor, Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church, Swainsboro, GA, is the eulogist. Her pastor, Rev. Anthony Q. Robinson, Sr., officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery, San Mateo.
