Lillian Tobler, 74, of Green Cove Springs, entered the sunset of life on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Haven Hospice Custead Care Center in Orange Park.

Lillian Tobler was born on Monday, April 18, 1949, in Glenwood, Georgia to Elijah Tobler, Sr., and Eva Mae Horne. She was educated in the Clay County School District graduating in the Class of 1967 from Dunbar High School. Her long time church home was New Bethel Baptist Church of Pier Station. Solving word-search puzzles was one of Lillian's favorite pastimes. For almost 30 years, Lillian was employed as a cook at the Penney Retirement Community in Penney Farms.

In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in eternal rest by her brothers, Ulysses Tobler, Sr., Lorenzo Tobler, and Elijah Tobler, Jr., and sister, Pearlie Mae Tobler.

Beautiful memories of Lillian remain with: one son, James Tobler; two daughters, Dawn Tobler and Marlana Tobler; seven grandchildren, Shaneron Coleman, Jay'vin Tobler, Ja'Kayla Tobler, Emira Frazier, Mia Garrett, Ashton Garrett, and Tristin Tobler; five great-grandchildren, Rhyan Coleman, Sarah Coleman, Alaina Coleman, Meilani Tobler, and Nailah Tobler; one brother, Aaron (Runa) Tobler, Sr.; two sisters, Marietta (Kirk) Slade and Mary Jane (Michael) Tobler; four godchildren, Willie "Jean" Coleman, Willie "Man" Williams, David Brooks, and Craig Jackson; one aunt, Essie Bell Kates; and a host of relatives and friends.

Public Visitation:  5-7 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2023, New Bethel Baptist Church, 4020 Pier Station Rd. W., Green Cove Springs, FL. Celebration of Life: Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 11 a.m., Congregational Holiness Church, 2079 State Road 16 West, Green Cove Springs, Florida. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Green Cove Springs.
