Lillian Mae West Ellis, 96, of Pelham, GA., entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka. A native of Mitchell County, Pelham, GA, she was born on Sunday, January 23, 1921 to George and Lillar West. At an early age, she accepted Christ and united with Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church of Meigs, GA. She was a faithful servant to the Lord and served on the usher board and subsequently became a Deaconess and a Mother of the church. On June 10, 1944, she was united in holy matrimony to Oscar D. Ellis and they became the blessed parents of two sons and a daughter. She was preceded in eternal rest by her son, Bobby Ellis.

She leaves to cherish her memories: son, Carl (Ethel) Ellis, Palatka; daughter, Carol Ann (Lewis) Mercado, Palatka; sister, Ethel (Marcus) Clark, Bainbridge, GA; daughter-in-law, Girthia Ellis, Palatka; two sisters-in-law, Dolly West, Meigs, GA, Irene Gee, Pelham, GA; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation of family & friends will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 17 at Nathaniel Thomas & Son Home for Funerals Chapel. Homegoing Celebration will be 1 p.m., Saturday, March 18 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 3065 Collins Street, Meigs, GA. Pastor Ryan Jenkins, officiating.
