Leola Deloris Caswell Worthen, 85, of Seville, transitioned on Friday, February 15, 2013 at her residence. A native of Tallahassee, she was born on Saturday, April 16, 1927 to Danny & Minnie Caswell. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Tallahassee. She subsequently relocated to Seville and united with Ward Chapel A. M. E. Church, serving faithfully for over 60 years. She was also the President of the Seville Community Senior Citizens Club. For numerous years she was employed in the fern industry and later became a social worker with the Community Action Agency. She was united in holy matrimony to Jesse Worthen, Sr. In addition to her parents and husband, Leola was preceded in eternal rest by two daughters, Elder Ernestine Evans and Constance Lenora Cody; brothers, Robert and Eddie Washington. Those who cherish her memories, daughter, Hazel Worthen, Seville; Sons, Jesse (Carolyn) Worthen, Seville; Rev. Charlie C. (Dreamal) Worthen, Tallahassee; son-in-law, Elder Gilbert Evans Sr., Crescent City; grandchildren, Maurice, Dr. Gilbert III, Darryl, Sarondrelyn, Audrey, Anthony, Antigone, Najawa, Deejournae, Jesse III, Erskin, Carlton, Brandi, Michael, Jason and Harrison; 18 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Mother Geneva Nance, Miami; Mary Johnson and Annie Alexander, both of Tallahassee; brother-in-law, The Honorable Judge Freddie (Frances)Worthen, Daytona Beach; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a very devoted friend, Minister Robert Lewis, Seville. Visitation of family and friends will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday, February 22 at Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church, 1851 Barton Street, Seville, Rev. Willie Mae Joma, Pastor. Homegoing Celebration will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 23 at St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church, 1835 Barton Street, Seville, Rev, James E. Vickers, Pastor. Rev. Willie Mae Joma is the officiant and Rev. Charlie C. Worthen is the Eulogist. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Seville. Services are entrusted to the care of J. E.
