Lee Edward Huff, 87, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Solaris Health Care Center, Palatka. The son of Robert Huff and Lillie Mae Kennedy, he was born on Sunday, July 3, 1932 in Wadley, GA. He was educated in the Jefferson County GA School District. Lee was a longtime resident of St. Augustine and a dietary aide at Flagler Hospital, retiring after 32 years of honorable service. He was united in marriage to Mamie L. Lewis and together they became the proud parents of four children, Rodney, Sandra, Kathy, and Erika. Ten years ago, he moved to Palatka. He enjoyed spending time with family, planting flowers, and watching television, especially sports, westerns, and his favorite soap opera, "The Young and the Restless." In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in eternal rest by his son, Rodney Huff and daughter, Kathy Pue.
He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters, Sandra (Brian) Bradley, Erika Huff, both of Palatka; 4 grandchildren, Kirstin Matthews, Palatka; RaQuel Ellison, Cocoa Beach; Alexis Pue, Trenton, NJ; Cameron Pue, Ewing, NJ; 7 great-grandchildren, Kirterian Matthews, Kentraevion Matthews, Zion Burrell, Omeir Robinson, Riearian Robertson, Kenvontrae Robertson, Malachi Youmans; cousins, Lennette Pembleton, St. Augustine; Charlie Green, Tampa; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Chester Mae Daniels, Gwendolyn Sanks, both of Atlanta, GA; Theodoshia White, St. Augustine; Joseph White, St. Augustine; Roosevelt Sanks, Leroy Sanks, both of Green Cove Springs; Joseph Sanks, Jacksonville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, February 12 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." A Homegoing Service will be held graveside, 12 noon, Thursday, February 13 at Oak Hill East Cemetery, Palatka, with Reverend Karl N. Flagg, pastor of Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, officiating.
