Lee Harrison "Boo Boo" Edwards, 54, native and lifelong resident of Palatka, entered the sunset of life unexpectedly on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at his residence. The son of Harrison Edwards, III and Marion Edwards, he was born on Wednesday, March 10, 1971. He was educated in the Putnam County School District. Lee worked as a lawn maintenanceman. He was formerly employed with PPM as a contractor at Seminole Electric and Palatka Housing Authority. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, especially his cousins.
Lee was preceded in eternal rest by his daughter, Darrika Word; grandson, Jacquez Johnson, Jr., and niece, Michelle Bynor.
He leaves to cherish his memories: loving wife of 22 years, Kimberly Hendrieth Edwards; parents, Harrison and Marion Edwards, III; children, Shakira Williams, Miya Edwards, Leo (Monay) Parker, Antonia (Cartageous) Lee, Darneshia Spell, Dontavius Hendricks, Kenyata Hendrieth, Henry Davis, Jr., Lamarkita (Joshwon) Davis Henry Davis, III, Lamott Davis,; three brothers, James Cooper, Mark (Veatrize) Hopkins, Steven (Keiona) Edwards; five sisters, Altrese (Raymond, Sr.) Weathers, Michel (Terry, Sr.) Major, Sobrina (Larry) Chavis Goggins, Tiffany Edwards, Heather Edwards; aunts and uncles, Gwendolyn (Elijah) Lowery, Mary (Lenwood) McCullen, James Robinson, Isadore West, Daniel (Virginia) Aiken, Robert Kennick, Gwendolyn Barrs, Portia West-Steward; 30 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a loving mother-in-law, Clyde Wright Jenkins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, September 5 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Celebration of Lee's Life will be 2 p.m., Saturday, September 6 at To God Be The Glory Holiness Church, 3521 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, Pastor Linda Hall. Elder James Robinson, Victory Church of Jacksonville, officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
