Obituary

Lasheika Monsalette Hampton, 43, of St. Augustine, entered the sunset of life on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Flagler Hospital, St. Augustine. A native of St. Augustine, she was the daughter of Charles and Cheryl (Blue) Hampton, born on Sunday, June 25, 1978. Lasheika was a 1996 graduate of St. Augustine High. She furthered her education at Clark Atlanta University and Edward Waters College, obtaining her Bachelor's degree. Lasheika was a member of First Baptist Church of Armstrong. She was intrigued with words and enjoyed reading and writing in her journal. She loved to watch crime TV shows. Above all and most importantly, she was passionate about spending time with her family especially being a full time, dedicated mother to her three sons.

She was preceded in eternal rest by her maternal grandparents, Albert and Edna Blue; grandmother, Ernestine Belcher; paternal grandfather, Charles Hampton, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memories: parents, Charles and Cheryl Hampton; three sons, Cameron Blackwell, Caeden Moore, Terrell Moore, Jr.; brothers, Quantaye Hampton, Byron (Kalisha) Hampton; sisters, Kaneika (Robert) Nimmons; Amari Hampton; nieces/ nephews, Harkin Handboro, Kamil Handsboro, Robbi Nimmons, Re'Niy Nimmons, Ontae Nimmons; great niece, Kaylani Handsboro; aunts and uncles, Donna (Curtis) Whitfield, Kelvin (Shirley) Blue, Albert (Cynthia) Blue, Jr., Emma (Rufus) Sullivan, Thomas (Diane) Blue, Dorothy (Curtis) Evans, Margaret (Sandy, Jr.) Murray, Peggy (George, Sr.) Joiner, Eugene (Edna) Murray, Edith (Charles) Harris; best friend, Robie Hagan; special cousins, Ticia Murray, Gail Webb, Annette Williams, Patricia Hayward, ; special friends, Jasmine Hines, Nakisha Harris ; and a host of other relatives and close friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 2-3 p.m. with Celebration of Lasheika's Life commencing at 3 p.m., Sunday, February 27 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Reverend Michael Session, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Armstrong, officiating.
