Obituary

Larry Kenneth Hancock Sr., 57, of St. Augustine, entered the sunset of life on Monday, April 22, 2013 at the N E FL Community Hospice, Baily Family Center for Caring in St. Augustine. Larry Kenneth Hancock Sr., was a native of Saint Augustine, Florida, born on Saturday,September 10, 1955 to James and Valleree Hancock. He was formally educated in the Saint Johns County School District. Larry subsequently enlisted in the United States Navy,completed his education and afterwards became gainfully employed by the Florida East Coast Railway for numerous years. Larry inevitably realized his true passion was to prepare delectable meals for his family, friends, and local patrons who delighted themselves in fine dining. He lived his residual days as a celebrated Culinary in various restaurants throughout the Saint Augustine, Florida region. Of most ultimate importance, as Larry lived his concluding days, God granted him adequate time to reflect upon his life; the Lord Jesus Christ dispensed sufficient grace and abundant mercy unto Larry for him to find perfect peace in Salvation. Larry had previously extended his hand in fellowship to No Cross-No Crown Christian Faith Assembly, he was a member there until he was called to fulfill the works God has for him in his kingdom. His parents and sister, Anna Patterson preceded him in eternal rest. Those who treasure his memories: beloved wife, Annie Mae Rowe Hancock; children, Latisha Hancock, Larry (Gina) Hancock Jr., Lenzy (Akeyshia) Hancock Sr., Chrvalo Hancock, Kenyata Hancock; stepchildren Latrina Storey, Nakita (Ronald) Burch, Gerald Rowe; siblings, Melvin (Arleen) Roberts, John Hancock, Robert Hancock Sr., James (Felecia) Hancock Jr., Marian Hancock, Vera (Ronnie) Floyd, Carolyn (Aaron) Brown, Linda Hancock, Alma Murphy; 19 Grandchildren; Sisters-in-law & Brother-in-law, Doretha Rowe, Joann Rowe, Merlene (Leon) Calloway, Rudolph (Norma Jean) Rowe, all of St. Augustine and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and caring friends . Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 26 at No Cross-No Crown Christian Faith Assembly, 45 Masters Drive, St. Augustine. Homegoing Celebration will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at New St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 135 N. Rodriquez Street, St. Augustine, Rev. Nathaniel Jackson, Pastor. Reverend C. D. Murray, pastor of No Cross-No Crown Christian Faith Assembly, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, St. Augustine.
