Obituary

Lamieh TeShay Thomas, 17, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Friday, April 18, 2008 as a result of an automobile accident. She was the daughter of Constance Thomas-Williams, born Monday, November 26, 1990 in Putnam County. She was the youngest of four children. She was a high school student, educated in the Putnam and Dade School Districts. From birth, Lamieh was raised in the House of God Which is the Church of the Living God the Pillar and Ground of the Truth, where she grew up singing, dancing and praising the Lord. Her hobbies included, track and field, basketball, playing the keyboard, drawing and writing poems. Lamieh was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Willie Elkins; step-father, Jerry Williams Sr., uncles, Cleveland Richard Timmons Sr., and Alphonso Sanders; stepsister; Bettina Amy Williams. To cherish her precious memories, her loving mother Constance Thomas-Williams, Palatka, devoted grandmother; Margie Elkins, Palatka, father figures; Elvis (Mariette) Clark, Palatka; Payne Johnson, Savannah, GA., brothers; KeAfer KuShawn Medlock and Cecil Thomas, Jr., both of Palatka, sister; Omega Smith, Palatka, stepsister; Lakeysha Williams, Gainesville, FL, stepbrothers; Katavis Allen and Jerry Williams Jr., both of Palatka, Aunts; Dorothy (David) Wright, Barbara Ann (Leverte) Wright, both of Palatka; Mary Anderson, Gainesville; uncles; Quilla Elkins, Jerome (Sylvia) Madison, Palatka and James (Tywana) Baskin, Pensacola; great aunts; great uncles; 3 nieces, Imonie Sapp, Zaire Thomas, and Andriania Walker, all of Palatka; a host of cousins; devoted cousin, Rasheda Walker, Miami; special cousin, Curlease Williams, Palatka; other relatives and friends. Visitation of family & friends will be 5-8 pm on Friday, April 25th at the House of God Church, 723 N. 19th (Martin Luther King, Jr.,) Street, Palatka. Homegoing Services will be 2 pm Saturday, April 26th at the House of God Church, Dr. Gilbert L. Evans, Jr., Pastor, eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery
