Kenneth "Kenny" William Floyd, Sr., 52, a native and lifelong resident of St. Augustine, entered into eternal rest surrounded by family and close friends on Thursday, January 18, 2018. The son of William Floyd, Sr. and Nellie Mae Johnson, he was born on Tuesday, March 16, 1965. "Kenny" was a 1985 graduate of St. Augustine High School. He was a member of Lighthouse Church of God St. Augustine, under the ministry of Pastor Lavoy Newton and worshipped at Pentecostal Fellowship Center Church under the ministry of Pastor Lois Turner.
"Kenny" was a true Florida State Seminole fan and a Jacksonville Jaguar fanatic with a love for Country music. His love for recreational motorcycle riding at an early age led him to become the founder and President of 150 (Buck 50) Boyz Motorcycle Club located in St. Augustine, FL (the first motorcycle club in the area) where everyone knew him as "Circle K" & "Prez". During his time as President/Founder of Buck 50 Boyz, his commitment to the community included Back to School Giveaways, organized street clean-up, feeding the homeless amongst many other community outreach endeavors.For four seasons, Kenny was a passionate and dedicated Head Coach of the Beacon of Hope Eagles Varsity Basketball Team as well as on the coaching staff for the Beacon of Hope Eagles Varsity Football program. He was 51-43 as the Beacon of Hope Christian School Head Varsity Basketball Coach building the program from the ground up.
As a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, he will truly be missed. Family was what he lived for and valued.
In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in eternal rest by his sisters, Josephine Ridley and Jacqueline Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: loving and devoted wife, Elanda Floyd, sons and daughters, Victoria Wright, Laura Brown-Williams, Kenneth Floyd, Jr. and Kentrell Floyd; grandchildren, Gary, Donnie, Kenneth, Keymond, Kennadi, King & Unique; special niece, Mondrica Gilliam; special nephew, Targon Ridley; brother, William Floyd, Jr., sisters, Darlene Brown, Barbara Asbell and Sharonda Williams; father & mother-In-Law, Eddie (Eveline) Davis, Sr.; god-brother, Cecil McSwain; god-sisters, Sonya Williams-Jones and Toriano Preston-Jones; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, January 26 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 85 M.L. King Avenue, St. Augustine. Homegoing Celebration will be 3 p.m., Saturday, January 27 at Lighthouse Church of God, 1230 Kings Estate Road, St. Augustine, Pastor LaVoy Newton, eulogist. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, St. Augustine.
