Kenneth Lee "Big Kenny" "Hoss" Felder, Sr. 73, of Hastings, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Baptist Medical Center South, Jacksonville. A native of Hastings, FL, he was born on Friday, December 5, 1947 to Eddie George & Jessie Mae (Middlebrook) Felder. In his early years, he was a member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church of Hastings. He was educated in the St. Johns County School District and was a 1967 graduate of Walter E. Harris High School. He was a student athlete and played on the Wildcats football team. When visiting Fitzgerald, GA, he was a longtime guest member of Community Tabernacle, where his father-in-law served as Pastor.
Kenneth was a retired cable installer contractor for Danella Construction Corporation. He was a truck driver / tractor operator with Tommy Wilson Farms of Putnam and St. Johns Counties. He was an avid sports fan especially bowling, fishing, pool, tennis, horseshoes, chess, and backgammon with a special love for dogs. He was also a master of arcade gaming especially of Pac-Man and Donkey Kong. Kenneth enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Kenneth's memories will be cherished forever by his devoted wife of 50 years, Annie Ruth Felder, Hastings; beloved sons & daughters; host of grandchildren; sisters & brothers: nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and caring friends.
(Mandatory CDC guidelines for social distancing and masks required): Visitation of family and friends will be 10 a.m. - 12 noon with Celebration of Life commencing at 12 noon, Saturday, September 25, at The Lord's Temple City of Refuge, 140 Gilmore Street, Hastings.
