Keith W. Harrison, 90, of Palm Coast, entered the sunset of life on Monday, April 12, 2021 at AdventHealth, Palm Coast. A native of Johns Hall, Jamaica and the son of Mabel Latty and Sydney Harrison, he was born on Tuesday, August 12, 1930. He grew up in Jamaica and graduated from Clarendon College. He briefly worked at a Citrus company in May Pen, Jamaica. He soon moved to London in his early 20s. Age 35, he married Daphnie Harrison on November 11, 1965. Keith worked in London for many years at a telephone company and as a security guard. Shortly thereafter he and his wife moved to Bronx, NY where he worked a variety of jobs including security guard, taxi driver, and DJ. He lived in New York for 22 years until he moved to Palm Coast in 1990. He was employed by Flagler County as a Bus Driver. He also provided lawn care services and worked as a DJ. In his spare time, Keith enjoyed selling antiques, DJing, and listening to his records which mainly consisted of Jazz and Reggae music. His favorite musicians were Beres Hammond and Gregory Issacs. Keith also enjoyed playing dominoes, fishing and gardening. He was known for having a green thumb as he managed a multitude of plants. He was a hardworking man who dearly cared for his family.
He was preceded in eternal rest by his sister, Kathleen Banbury; brother, Gregory Harrison; daughter, Janet Harrison.
He leaves to cherish his memories: son , Micheal Harrison; sisters , Barbera Potter, Hazel Tomlinson, Maureen Stevens; brothers , Roy Harrison and Wally Harrison; grandchildren , Devon Harrison, Josiah Benjamin, Tashanda Benjamin, Keisha Benjamin, Anessa Harrison, Olivia Sanon; great grandchildren , Mikayla Thring, Na-Shawn Elleby; special friends/family, Hillary Allen, Yvonne Harrison, Toro and Theresa Roole, Gloria and Earl Singleton, Lloyd, Steve, Mark and Gail Campbell, Nicola and Kim Tomilson, Ludlow and Dion Harrison, Joan and Victoria Francis, Angela, Anthony, and Anthony Brown, Jr, Mercedes and Vernal Johnson, Cindy Simpson, Josiah Vogle, Jackie Bartels, Barbara Potter, Sidney and Violet Honeyghan, Brenda Steward, Roxy, Gary, Jomo, Kay, and Robin and Karen Harrison.
He will be dearly missed by his loved ones. May God guide him along a safe journey home.
