Katie Mae McCaskill, 76, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Monday, August 30, 2021 at her residence. The daughter of C.S. King and Essie Mae Barnes, she was born on Saturday, September 2, 1944 in Eufaula, AL. She was educated in the Barbour County AL School District. Evangelist McCaskill served the Lord faithfully at New Creation Christian Center, Palatka. She enjoyed worshipping God and reading the Holy Bible. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her husband of 35 years, Izall McCaskill (October 29, 2003).
She leaves to cherish her memories: sons and daughters, Joe McCaskill, Louvenia Shelly, Ethel (Carl) Ellis, Tommy (Deloris) McCaskill, Rudolph McCaskill, Michael Hart, Felicia (Johnny) McCaskill-Floyd, all of Palatka; Wanda (Lewis) Fort, Temple, TX; Mary Hendricks, Jacksonville; devoted grandchildren, Chavon Brown, Jacksonville; Mark (Faye) Webb, Rachel Gaines, Tammie McCaskill, all of Palatka; and a host of other relatives and friends.
(Mandatory CDC guidelines for social distancing and masks required): Visitation of family and friends from 6:30-8 p.m., Friday, September 3, with Homegoing Celebration at 4 p.m., Saturday, September 4, at Flagg's Chapel of Serenity. Reverend Ostine Moore, Pastor, Little Bethel Baptist Church, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill East Cemetery.
