IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Karl Alexander
Usher
December 29, 1931 – February 10, 2026
It is with love and fond memories that the Usher family announces the peaceful passing of Karl Alexander Usher, who has joined his beloved family in eternal rest.
Born in Belize City, Karl immigrated to the United States at age 26. He began his American career at Jason Uniform Rental in Mount Vernon, NY, where he supervised a team of over 20 employees in the laundry department.
For 42 years, he specialized in industrial rentals and linen services, serving the healthcare, security, and restaurant sectors with dedication. After an impressive career, Karl retired to the sunshine of Palm Coast, Florida, becoming a cherished local.
Karl is reunited in heaven with his loving wife, Norma Juanita; his parents, Lula Ursula and James Alexander Usher; his brothers, Maurice Alexander (aka “Shadrach”) and Leonard Alexander (aka “Meshach” ); his sister, Aida May; and his sons, Karl Alexander Jr. and Michael Dennis.
He leaves behind a loving legacy through his children: daughters, Kirsten Ann and her husband, Ernest ; Dorothy Jean; and Linda Juanita and his son, Glennford Alexander “Lil-Ush" and his wife, Myra.
A proud and devoted Papa, Karl found immense joy in his grandchildren: Fredrick Ernest, Ernest Gilbert III, Abigail, Jamal Akeem, and Belisia Omayra and her husband, Marlow; as well as great-grandchildren: Xena Rose, Leo Manuela, and Lyla Juanita.
He will be fondly remembered by a wide circle of family, including his firstborn nephew Raymond Alexander (aka "El Cantante" and “Chef”) and his wife, Barbara; niece, Valerie Ionna; favorite nephew, Arthur Alexander ( "What a guy!") and wife Joan; special nephew, James Alexander; niece, Clara Camal; grandniece, Trisha Usher; sister in-law, Gracie and husband Dennis; Margaret (aka “Bugs”) and her husband, Karl Heusner; family friends, Nelson Montalvo, Daro Bhagwandin, Janice Jensen, Winthrop Wright and Andrea Parham.
Many other beloved nieces and nephews will carry the Usher name, knowing their “Uncle Curl” through stories and memories.
True to his joyful and spirited nature, Karl is remembered by these words: “Don’t cry for me. Do the hard work with laughter, music, dance, and love. Always remember—family first. Staying alive!!! You better BELIZE it!”
Karl’s life was one of love, humor, and deep devotion to family. His legacy will live on in every laugh shared, every story told, and every moment of joy inspired by his memory.
