Karl Octavius Treasure, 85, of Middleburg, FL., formerly of Poughkeepsie, NY., entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Haven Hospice Custead Care Center, Orange Park, FL. Karl, the son of Charles and Dora (Burton) Treasure was a native of St. Ann, Jamaica. Karl and his first wife, Dora became proud parents. On April 8, 1982, he united in marriage to the former Rosie Smith. He was a road construction worker with Laborers Local Union #1000 in Poughkeepsie and also a member of the Laborers' International Union of North America. Karl enjoyed landscaping, watching baseball, and loved new luxury cars. He was a handyman willing to help anyone with landscaping and home repairs during his free time. He is preceded in eternal rest by his parents; daughter, Brenda Treasure; step-son, Lawrence Goss; and grandson, Tyrell Treasure. To cherish his beloved memories: devoted wife of 33 years, Rosie L. Treasure Middleburg, FL; Children, Karl Treasure Jr., Susan Treasure, Cheryl Gardner, Michael Treasure, all of Poughkeepsie, NY; Ben (Lisa) Treasure, Kingston, NY; Greg (Bettyann) Treasure, Highland NY; Anthony Treasure, Clintondale, NY; Stephanie Lloyd, Colorado Springs, CO; host of grandchildren; several siblings in Jamaica and Massachusetts; other caring relatives and friends. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
