Judy Carol Smith, 63, of Palatka entered the sunset of life on Monday, May 21, 2012 at her Holly Ridge Apartment following an extended illness. A native of Kinston, NC, she was born to Lloyd George & Grace Lovine Avery on March 8, 1949. Judy has resided in Palatka for the past 3 years, moving from Greenville, SC., and formerly resided in Obrien, FL. She was a retired homemaker and of the Christian faith. She was educated in the Lenoir County (Kinston), NC school system. Judy enjoyed the outdoors and loved cooking and shopping. She was very passionate about talking with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in eternal rest by her husband, James Clifford Smith; and sister, Lovine Avery. Those who cherish her memories: beloved daughter, Judy Grace (John) Tabor; 3 grandchildren; Elizabeth, John and Garrett Tabor, all of Palatka; 4 sisters; 4 brothers; and a host of other relatives and friends. A private family memorial service will be held.
