Judy Humphrey Ellington, 77, of Hastings, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Community Hospice Bailey Center for Caring, St. Augustine. The daughter of Ulysess Humphrey Jr. and Gertrude Robinson Humphrey, Judy was born on Monday, January 27, 1947 in Hastings. She attended Walter E. Harris High School Class, graduating in 1964. Judy was a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at the former Putnam Community Medical Center and also a home health aide. She was a faithful servant of God at To God Be The Glory Holiness Church, where she served as Church Mother, Usher and Choir Member. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her husband, Edward Kenneth Ellington; sister, Cynthia Ann Fitz; brother, Amos Jerome Humphrey.
Judy leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Malissa Aaron, Hastings; Tonya (Eric) Jones, Tallahassee; Kim (Jason) Blackshear, Orlando; Tiffany (Reggie) Chandler, El Segundo, CA; Daphne (Timmy) Robinson, Lake Butler; son, Tim (Lisa) Aaron, Kissimmee; grandchildren, Lakevia Leonard, Shaniqua Aaron, Craneshia Simon, Erica Jones, Nakia Reed, Kendrick Aaron, Jasmine Robinson, Shayla Chandler, Timmy Robinson, Jr., Craig Reed, Jr., Reggie Chandler, Jr., Jada Aaron; brother, Ulysess "Lucky" (Phyllis) Humphrey; sisters, Betty Nelson Scott, Doris Patricia Humphrey; sister-in-law, Patricia Humphrey, Patricia Ellington Stern; brother-in-law, Clifford Ellington; 13 great-grandchildren; aunts, Annie Ruth Robinson, Orange Park; Barbara Jean (Raymond) Tucker, Brooklyn, NY; special friends, Betty Pope, Mary Blue, Christine (Johnny) Bunch, Rosetta Cave, Gigi Felder Porter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation of family & friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, March 15 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Celebration of Mother Judy's Life will be 12 noon, Saturday, March 16 at To God Be The Glory Holiness Church, 3521 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
