Juanita Jackson Fountain, 75, of Elkton (Armstrong Community), entered the Lord's Kingdom on Monday, November 9, 2015, at Community Hospice Bailey Center for Caring, St. Augustine. A native of Elkton, she was the beloved daughter of Henry L. and Everlina (Allen) Jackson, born on Monday, September 9, 1940. Juanita was educated at Walter E. Harris High School in Hastings (St. Johns County School District). In 1967, she relocated to New York and raised her loving daughters, Harriett and Carolyn and returned to Elkton in 1984. She was a devoted Christian who loved and depended on God with all her heart and soul. Mother Fountain was a faithful member of The Lord's Temple, City of Refuge, Hastings, especially serving in the church's Bread of Heaven Soup Kitchen. She was united in marriage to George Fountain. Juanita was a compassionate caregiver who was instrumental in raising her grandson, Jackson Alonzo Brown and enjoyed feeding the hungry, raising children, lending a helping hand to anyone in need, and solving puzzles. She was preceded in eternal rest by her parents; sisters Lillian Jackson and Clifford Mae Finch, brother, Nathaniel Jackson, nephew, Clinton Finch; niece Debra Wesley. She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Carolyn Annie Fountain, Elkton; Harriett Yvonne (Lamar) Cohen, Palatka; brothers, Earl Jackson, Palatka; Henry (Jacqueline) Jackson Elkton; sisters, Eunice Warren, Evelyn Hall, both of Elkton; devoted grandson, Jackson Alonzo Brown, Elkton; granddaughter, Monique Cohen, Palatka; step-grandson, Michael Galan, Palatka; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including special cousin, Barbara (Isaac) Jackson, Babylon, NY. Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, November 13 and Homegoing Celebration will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 14 at The Lord's Temple City of Refuge, 140 Gilmore Street, Palatka, Bishop Thomas Cave, III, Pastor, is the Eulogist. Interment will be in Armstrong Cemetery.
