Juanita Brown Brinson, 65, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Friday, October 2, 2009 at her residence. She was born on Tuesday, December 7, 1943 to Willie Roosevelt Brown and Annie Lee (Williams) Brown in Live Oak, FL. She was educated in the Putnam County School District. She was a farm worker for many years and was employed at Tally Box Company until they closed in 1979 and she subsequently retired. Juanita was united in holy matrimony to John Lee Pie Brinson on May 29, 1998. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church serving as Sunday School Secretary, Choir member, Womens Ministry and other activities. She enjoyed attending church, bible reading, bible trivia, and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Juanita is preceded in eternal rest by her sister, Susie M. Perry.

To cherish her memories, Daughters, Josephine (Jethro) Wiggs-Gilyard, Palatka; Darlene (Jerry) Wiggs-Curry, Newport News, VA; Paula Faye (Donald) Graham-Chavis and Leeneatha (Michael) Brinson-Gilliam, all of Palatka; Sons, Alonzo Wiggs Sr., Lincoln, NE; James Dino Wiggs Sr., Bradenton; 3 Sisters, Rose Colvin, Deltona; Rosalyn (Oscar) Redding and Cynthia (Neil) Brooks, all of Sanford; 4 Brothers, Willie R. Brown, Deltona; Frank (Evelyn) Smith, Live Oak; Eddie (Christine) Brown, Miami; Willie L. Young, Pompano Beach; 18 grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of other devoted relatives and caring friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be Friday, October 9 from 5-8 p.m. at the Chapel of Serenity. Homegoing Celebration will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 10th at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church, 1501 Bronson Street, Palatka. Elder J. C. Tookes, pastor is the eulogist. Interment will follow in Oak Hill West Cemetery
