August 12, 1950 – September 24, 2019
Josephine Johnson Elmore, 69, of Palm Coast, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at her residence. A native of Williston, FL., she was the daughter of Joseph and Florence (Williams) Johnson, born on Saturday, August 12, 1950. Josephine received her formal education in the St. Johns County School District and was a 1968 graduate of R. J. Murray High School, St. Augustine. She was a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Institutional Church, Jacksonville, worshiping faithfully until declining heath prevailed. She truly loved Church School and diligently attended.
She was employed by the St. John's County Sheriff's Office with 29 years of meritorious service, retiring in December 2015 after working in Dispatch and E911 Addressing.
Josephine never met a stranger and enjoyed witnessing to others about her love for Jesus Christ. She loved to travel and spent much of her retirement doing so as long as she could and also spent time volunteering with food banks serving others.
